AMOP has a physician who does entire physical examinations for patients. From these examinations, the doctor evaluates medical conditions and makes recommendations for treatments and referrals to the State of Oregon Health Department to enable patients to receive their OMMP Oregon Medical Marijuana Program Medical Cannabis Card. The doctor does not prescribe any narcotic pain medicines. The patient's primary care provider is the doctor that you use for those medications.
Patients must have a “Debilitating medical Condition”
The Oregon Medical Cannabis Program defines “Debilitating Condition” as:
·
Cancer (active, not a past history)
· Glaucoma
· HIV/AIDS
Or having a treatment or a medical condition that produces
one or more of the following:
· Cachexia (severe on-going weight loss)
· Severe chronic pain
· Severe nausea
· Seizures (including but not limited to those caused by Epilepsy)
· Persistent muscle spasms (including
but not limited to those caused by Multiple Sclerosis)
A patient that is unwilling or unable to cultivate his/her own supply of Medical Cannabis may designate
another person to be their
primary Caregiver.
